RestorEar had a busy, innovative 2025. Here we look back on our top five favorite parts of the year.
5 Outreach Events
2025 was packed with conferences, tradeshows, and other outreach events.
We kicked off the year with the Redefining Every Stage of Investment (RESI) Conference hosted by JP Morgan in San Fransisco, CA. This event was part of JP Morgan Healthcare Week, the largest healthcare investment symposium in the industry. RestorEar attended the event as part of the Montana cohort, allowing us to connect with other innovators both from our home state and elsewhere.
Next we headed to the American Academy of Audiology Conference and HearTech Expo in New Orleans, LA. In the exhibitor hall, we connected with hundreds of audiologists from across the country at our booth to talk about cold therapy research, the ReBound line of products, and to share some exciting giveaways.
Our next (virtual) stop was BIO Asia–Taiwan 2025, where we presented our products to distributors, investors, and stakeholders from across the globe.
We rounded out our conferences for the year in Boston at the New England Venture Summit, a gathering of founders, investors, and emerging technology leaders. Here we connected with likeminded individuals about the future of our brand and products.
Finally, we connected with countless fire stations throughout the year to visit, talk about their hearing concerns, and introduce them to cold therapy for hearing health.
We already have countless outreach opportunities on the calendar for 2026. We can’t wait to hit the road!
4 Ongoing Clinical Trials
RestorEar had four ongoing clinical trials in 2025.
We received funding for our second year studying cold therapy to protect against noise-induced hearing loss in firefighters. This study is set to conclude in 2026.
Our cochlear implant study using ReSurg began recruitment this year. This study will also conclude in 2026 and uses a novel cold therapy device during cochlear implant surgery to preserve residual hearing.
Finally, two tinnitus clinical trials kicked off in 2025.

3 Strategy Discussions
2025 was all about strategy for RestorEar—strategies to improve hearing health with precision cooling! While in New Orleans in March, we met with our research collaborators to fine-tune the details of our ongoing clinical trials and talk about future opportunities. Then in October, RestorEar hosted its company retreat at headquarters in Bozeman, MT. This meeting gave us the opportunity to put our heads together all weekend long to talk about our goals for 2026. Finally, this summer RestorEar was invited to participate in the LEAP Program, a pilot program at the NIH to help small businesses navigate the commercialization landscape. We are thrilled to continue in this program in 2026.
2 Publications
Two papers on research using RestorEar products were published in 2025. The research came from RestorEar co-founder Dr. Suhrud Rajguru’s lab at the University of Miami.
The first paper, titled “Noninvasive Targeted Temperature Management of the Inner Ear: Numerical Simulations and Experimental Measurements in a Human Cadaver Model”, was published in Otology & Neurotology in June and detailed the ability of ReBound cold packs to cool the inner ear to therapeutically beneficial levels in computational and cadaver models. Read the paper here.
The second paper, titled “Development and Evaluation of a Novel Transcanal Catheter for Delivery of Hypothermia to the Inner Ear”, detailed the design and validation of a novel cooling system to deliver hypothermia to the cochlea and vestibular system via the ear canal. This paper was published in Otology & Neurotology in October. Read it here.
1 New Product
We have spent the last year working on a brand new cold comfort product, set to release at the beginning of next year! We can’t wait to share more details about this product in the coming months and to get it in consumer’s hands in 2026.
We hope you had a wonderful 2025. We can’t wait to see what the next year will bring to RestorEar.
Happy New Year!
