The Hearing Healthcare Assistance Project: Expanding Access Through Partnership

Earlier this year, in a groundbreaking stride towards auditory inclusivity, the Arizona Commission for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing (ACDHH) embarked on a transformative project. Teaming up with three state universities (Arizona State University, the University of Arizona, and Northern Arizona University), they expanded a previously successful pilot project with ASU to create The Hearing Healthcare Assistance Project. This collaboration aims to provide hearing healthcare for free for individuals 21 and older who do not have health insurance.

Understanding Hearing Health Challenges Among Veterans

At RestorEar, we are committed to supporting the health and well-being of those at risk for hearing loss. One group that suffers disproportionately from auditory trauma is veterans. Next month, our team will be attending the Joint Defense Veterans Audiology Conference in order to bring ReBound to the Veterans Affairs audiology community. 

We wrote previously about hearing health challenges among the armed forces and veterans. Today, we will highlight veterans and delve into the prevalent issue of hearing loss, tinnitus, and other auditory conditions among this group, shedding light on the challenges they face and exploring how advancing hearing health technology can make a difference in their lives.
